Design Ideas
Containers look their best when planted with a "thriller, filler, spiller" effect. The "thriller" is the tall, central plant. The "filler" fills in around its legs. And the "spiller" cascades over the edge of the container. If you follow this principal, you will have gorgeous containers.
Do It Yourself
Use your containers for more than one season. We plant tulip bulbs in these in the fall for a spring show. Then, after the tulips are done, we put summer plants in these same containers.
Stretch your Dollars
See what the containers are sitting on? When we lost a Birch tree to an ice storn, we asked the arborist to cut the trunk like this. Years from now they will rot and I'll remove them.
