Design Ideas
Every garden should have at least one fountain. If you have more, keep them separated so you can only see one at a time.
Do It Yourself
We used the same type of rock as entry paths to this garden room, as an accent trim around the edge of the grass, and under the fountain. When you lay rock, dig down about four inches and use paver sand under the rock.
Stretch your Dollars
We installed all this rock work by using rocks that had become buried or covered by plants, or that were unseen from most of the garden. We’ve never purchased any more rocks since our initial purchase years ago.
Plant List
Clockwise from path: “Variegated” Liriope, “Sum and Substance” Hosta, green Japanese Maple, Impatiens in container, “Ramona” Clematis flowering, “Beni Shichihenge” Japanese Maple behind fountain, “Snowmound” Spirea with “American” Holly behind it, and “Fire and Ice” Hosta to the right of the path.
Master Gardener
Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
