Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop - University of Missouri Extension Greene County

All interested persons are invited to a grafting workshop, sponsored by University of Missouri Extension, Missouri State University's State Fruit Experiment Station, and Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park.
Two sessions, from 3:00-5:00pm, and 6:00-8:00pm, are scheduled. The workshop will include a demonstration of grafting techniques, followed by grafting practice by workshop participants under the guidance of experienced grafters. Participants are encouraged to bring a box knife or very sharp pocket knife, and dormant branches from their favorite apple tree for grafting (or we will provide apple branches). The registration fee of $10 will provide two apple rootstocks, grafting supplies, and educational materials. Participants will take home two grafted apple trees.
Each session will be limited to 25 participants, and pre-registration is required. To register for the grafting workshop, contact Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park at (417) 837-5949.
